Originally built in February 1962, the restoration of Austin Healey 3000 Mk II VSU 901 was completed in October 2013. This 3000 Mk II is a genuine North American Export car. During the cars restoration it was restored to its original colour of Colorado red and factory build specification.
This a structurally superb car and restored on its original chassis, the car has excellent panel gaps the car was rebuilt using all its original outer bodywork. This 3000 MK II has had a full lead free conversion and was machined and rebuilt to its original specification. It has excellent oil pressure hot or cold, runs smoothly and does not overheat. The engine is running on its original triple 1”1/2 SU carbs and manifold systems. The car is fitted with its rebuilt original centre change gearbox and original rear axle. The car is fitted with an uprated fuel pump, electronic ignition, adjustable steering column, new 72 spoke wire wheels and overdrive.
The interior of the car was tailored to suit which included the correct vinyl seats, trim panels and dashboard along with a tailored black vinyl hood and tonneau cover.
This desirable and rare 3000 Mk II is offered for sale with UK V5C Registration Document, Heritage certificate and fully photographed and documented restoration along with itemised parts list compiled by ourselves at JME Healeys upon its completion. Ideal for touring or shows, this car was purchased by the current owner from ourselves in November 2014, this car has completed only 300miles during his ownership.
