1965 Austin Healey 3000 MKIII BJ8

JME is delighted to offer for sale this superb example of a restored Austin Healey 3000 MKIII phase 2. This original UK RHD Austin Healey 3000 MK III chassis no. HBJ8/33974 was built on the 25th November 1965. The car was first registered in Penryn, Cornwall. 

 

This Austin Healey remains its original colour of Healey Blue with blue interior and blue wet weather gear. The car originally left the factory with Wire Wheels, Heater, Tonneau cover, Roadspeed tyres, Laminated windscreen, and overdrive. A fully matching numbers car, including original chassis plate, original body plate, original engine plate, gearbox number, rear axle number, and key number, all information confirmed by the vehicles Heritage Certificate. This final and most powerful incarnation of the ‘Big’ Healey has had a full lead-free conversion, and is fitted with an uprated fuel pump, high torque starter motor, adjustable steering column, 72 spoke chrome wire wheels, overdrive, locking fuel cap and period vintage radio.

 

A structurally superb car. Restored on its original chassis, the car has excellent panel gaps. The car was rebuilt using its original outer body panels. The engine was machined and rebuilt to its original specification. Excellent oil pressure hot or cold, runs smoothly and does not overheat, the gearbox is strong. Running on its original 2” SU carbs. Supplied with correct MKIII interior to suit the car along with all wet weather gear. An incredibly smooth and refined ride makes this car a dream to drive.
